Plushieness

My first Gala-plushie, who is about a foot tall and has the proportions of a fashion doll more than a normal plushie. I had thought when I was making her she would turn out really well, but now she's finished I'm kinda lukewarm. The next one I do of her will be more plushie-like, for sure. I'll probably also use darker skin so she's less washed-out and a darker orange in her hair to improve the gradient (I was using materials on hand, and that was the only orange I had -_- ).

I couldn't sleep last night, so I got up, showered, dressed, and walked to the flea market. It's not far-- a mile, at best-- so I figured my feet could handle it. I was trying to be good and not waste money, so I just got a couple of bras which I really needed, a couple pair of socks I thought would make good sock monkeys (not needed, but cheap), and a bag of assorted treats ('cause it was cheap and I'd forgotten breakfast). I saw Leesa there and we talked. She's been helping out some friends who have a shop there, and she's been trying to talk me into selling some plushies on consignment there. I guess it couldn't hurt to try, so I'll add that to my crafts projects list.

My current crafts projects list: random New Age-y plushies to try to sell in that shop (I can also try again with the angel and faerie babies and see if anyone likes those), totally gonna finally make a Gala-plushie-- have the supplies set out and everything ^_^ , monkey those new socks (a pair of pastel yellow argyle and a pair of bright multi-stripe), and I just won an Ebay auction for a dolly I'm gonna do a custom on (not sure exactly what I'll do with her yet, but have some ideas). Hopefully that'll be enough to keep me busy for a while.

I still want a real, live Jaki fish! If I could just find one that doesn't cost a ton and have to be shipped in from Thailand. . . /random whine fest

I haven't been doing much this week, 'cause on Monday I went for a walk in shoes and socks that apparently were very bad for walking as far as I did. I'd walked a couple of miles in them with no probs, but this time I ended up five miles from home with shredded and blistered feet, and had to walk back that way -_- . And will someone tell me why everything male decides to hit on me when I'm hobbling down the street with messed up feet and can't speed up to get away? One of the guys followed me for like a block. I should've told him I was probably twice his age, but with my luck he would've just dug that , so I didn't say anything. Anyway, I've been trying to stay off my feet as much as I can this week, been wearing like three pair of socks to cushion my feet, and soaking them every day in warm water with epsom salts. The blisters aren't gone, but they're a lot better than they were. I can walk almost normally now without feeling like I'm walking on a bed of sharp rocks, and today I was able to walk out to the mailbox, which I wasn't before. Hopefully I'll be all better soon.

At least being this immobile has given me a bit of a creative burst. I've been writing a bit more, and have a lot of projects I wanna work on, too. Especially plushie projects! *shall go through her fabric supply tonight and see if she has the right ones for what she wants*

I feel very uninspired lately, and it's really been killing me! I sit down to try to write something or draw something, but nothing comes out, or at least nothing worthwhile. It's not like a real block, though-- I get ideas. It's just that when I go to make the ideas reality, I utterly fail. It's very frustrating.

From what I hear, most shades of Katie's new-formula wig dye are available now, though mostly only by special request at the moment. It's mostly a matter of trying to afford it, since I'll probably need a lot of dye even for just doing a gradient. I know for sure I want some kind of orange in there, so I'll have to get a bottle of that. I wonder whether I might be safer to get two bottles of red, considering I'll have nearly the entire contents of another wig in there as well, with all the wefts put in for thickness. Hopefully it'll turn out well enough to be worth the time and expense.

So much stuff I need and so little money to get it -_- . Probably the first concern I should take care of, before any wig stuff, is the fact I've had two bras and two pair of sandals break recently, so I really need to get new ones of those.

I found a shirt I wanna buy Doug! Usually he hates all clothing others buy him, but this shirt says, "I'd Rather Be Watching 'Law & Order'"! That man will watch any incarnation of that show any time it is on, no matter how many times he has seen it (and always acts surprised at the ending!). So that's something else I need to do as soon as I can afford it.

I have a lot of drawing I need to do, including something a friend asked of me. *prods self to do so* Well, at least I got a couple more gown designs done for the doll that will never be finished, so that's something! *wonders how many gowns she needs to make*

Right now, I'd rather be watching "Last Friends", though! I finally managed to finish DLing ep 10 and I wanna find out what the deal is with the dress O_o ! That's what I get for listening to spoilers. . .

Apparently some really big thing happened over at SG. No, I'm not sure what, though I think the mods had been fighting lately and I figure whatever it was must've come to a head.

The good point? One of the people who hates my guts left. The bad point? So did one of the few people who ever bothered to post on that board, who was also someone I've been involved in a storyline with literally the entire time I've been there. No idea what's meant to happen now. And nope, I never did find out why that one chick hates my guts. When I tried to find out, all I could get was that apparently it pissed her off when I talked about what's canonical, and how I once entered a thread because I was bored and saw my name mentioned. Er, yeah, neither sounds like a reason to hate someone, to me.

Random other observation about the chick who hates me, she's one of the mods over on SoF. When SoF restarted under a completely different storyline, she made a point to post that my chara was no longer a playable chara there. Sounded like a big "stay out of my sandbox!" to me, but not like I could say anything to that effect on the board. *shrugs* I had already deleted my account when I saw the new storyline wasn't gonna be about the canonical charas. I'd only popped by to see whether those people were pulling out of RPG boards in general or if it was just something that had happened on SG. Ah well, at least no longer being playable means someone else won't come along and mess her up. *cheesy grin*

I feel like I'm behind in everything right now and having the hardest time getting caught up. It probably doesn't help that every time I try, I get distracted and sidetracked by something else. And if my e-mail gets too much more backed-up, I swear I'm gonna go through and start deleting stuff completely unread just to clear out some of the crap -_- .

That orange striped cat I used to like? Er, yeah, now he's pissing me off. The last couple of times I saw him, when I didn't give him the attention he wanted, the little bastard bit me. He does it again, I swear I'm gonna drop-kick him. I don't care how much he purrs and cuddles the rest of the time-- the moment he started biting, he crossed the line, and now he is no longer a friend.

I shouldn't have left this to so late-- too tired to make much detail!

About SCT, I confronted Dark about it over IMs and finally got him to give back my access. Then I PMed everyone to tell them the situation in case they didn't get to read the post before it was deleted. I know most people don't give a crap about some half-dead little RP board, but there are still a few people who do. Maybe if a little more effort were put into advertising, so more people would know the board's current location and that it's not entirely dead yet, maybe it could get some more traffic? *a bit of an optimist here*

Over on SG, the newbies have been causing all kinds of trouble. I missed most of the drama today, but from what I gather, they don't think they should have to do profiles to get in. Honestly, having skimmed a couple of the profiles they've written, if I were reviewing I wouldn't have accepted them. I think one of them is pissed 'cause one of the charas I play is the one she wants, and of course in her mind she could do a much better job than I do. Eeh, I'll be immodest here and say if her understanding of the chara is as lacking as her friends' knowledge of theirs, I highly doubt her claim. *shrugs* Not like it matters, since I've been playing her for some time already and have no intention to give her up, anyway. Funny how I thought those people seemed so cheery when they first arrived, and now they're causing more trouble on a daily basis than I have the whole time I've been there. . .

My attempts to e-mail keep coming back saying the user is unknown. Today, once again, I was able to see the board, but my account is still not being approved, and now not only has my post been deleted, but guest-posting has been completely turned off as well. All this while he's trying to act like everything is all right elsewhere? And last night he had the nerve to try to invite me into another board he's trying to start up? Like I'm ever gonna join another board with someone who's treating me like this much shit! I didn't wanna get into any more drama over IM, but he is leaving me no choice but to confront him about it. How can anyone be such a two-faced prick?

It's starting to bother me, having Dark try to act all nice to me while I'm still getting a "banned" message. Rather than seethe about it I decided to take my own advice and approach him about it. I did it via e-mail, though, 'cause I didn't feel like dealing with a chat tantrum. I guess we'll see what he has to day in his own defence here.
